Hi, I’m Claudine!

I’m a board-certified Occupational Medicine physician.  I’m also a Board Certified Coach and a Feminine Embodiment Coach.  

My zone of genius is helping women physicians thrive in their personal and professional lives.  

Women in medicine are disproportionately affected by stress, overwhelm and burnout. 

I experienced severe burnout in the past but I discovered life coaching in 2013.  Coaching helped me to gain clarity, create better boundaries with everyone in my life, become unapologetic about self-care, overcome imposter syndrome and stop feeling the need to prove myself.

I created Beyond Burnout™ to empower other women physicians with the tools to permanently recover from burnout (instead of just cope with the symptoms).

does life coaching really work?

As a health care provider, I know evidence-based practices are important to you so you’re probably wondering: does coaching really work?! According to a 6-month randomized controlled trial of 88 physicians (48 women and 40 men) published in JAMA, there were multiple statistically significant benefits seen from a physician coaching program:

Emotional exhaustion decreased by a mean (SD) of 5.2 (8.7) points in the intervention group compared with an increase of 1.5 (7.7) points in the control group by the end of the study (P < .001).

• Absolute rates of high emotional exhaustion at 5 months decreased by 19.5% in the intervention group and increased by 9.8% in the control group (−29.3% [95% CI, −34.0% to −24.6%]) (P < .001).

• Absolute rates of overall burnout at 5 months also decreased by 17.1% in the intervention group and increased by 4.9% in the control group (−22.0% [95% CI, −25.2% to −18.7%]) (P < .001).

Quality of life improved by a mean (SD) of 1.2 (2.5) points in the intervention group compared with 0.1 (1.7) points in the control group (1.1 points [95% CI, 0.04-2.1 points]) (P = .005).

Resilience scores improved by a mean (SD) of 1.3 (5.2) points in the intervention group compared with 0.6 (4.0) points in the control group (0.7 points [95% CI, 0.0-3.0 points]) (P = .04).

Who is this program for?

This program is for women who work in the medical field. I’ve coached physicians, nurses, therapists, CNAs, etc.

How is Beyond Burnout™ different from any other life coaching program?

This life-changing program is radically different from any other program because it was created by someone who was not only in your shoes but has done the inner work to shift it. I get it and I understand that radical responsibility and action are the path forward. The focus of Beyond Burnout™ is addressing the root cause of burnout. To do this requires a complete identity shift. My goal is to share tools that will empower you for life--not short-term solutions.

What if I don’t have the time for this?

Not having enough time is simply a thought. And when you don’t believe you have enough time, my guess is that you then feel frantic and busy. But what if you chose to believe that you have enough time for what matters most to you? How does that thought feel? My belief is that we choose to make time for the things that are important to us. And as seasons of life change, what’s important may also change. But the one constant that will remain in your life is the relationship you have with yourself. So creating space in your schedule for coaching, mentoring, self-care, etc. will actually help you to get OUT of the “too busy” trap. I strongly believe the woman who doesn’t feel that she has enough time is the one who needs this program the most!

What is the investment?

Currently, the program is a mid-four figure investment. There is also a payment plan available. Exact pricing information will be provided during your consultation if we both feel the program is a fit for you.

will my employer cover this?

A burnout coaching program may qualify as an educational and/or professional development expense. Since CME is available, you may be eligible for reimbursement or funding from your employer or academic institution. Life coaching may also be a tax deductible educational or business expense. Required documentation can be provided upon request.

Will health insurance cover the cost of life coaching?

Life coaching is different from therapy because you are not a patient and therefore not given a clinical diagnosis, so life coaching is not covered by health insurance. However coaching may be covered by your FSA/HSA wellness accounts

Do you offer any guarantees?

Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee your success because you are 100% responsible for your success. Although I am committed to your vision and goals, I cannot make it happen for you nor do the work it will take for you to get there. What I can promise, however, is that you will get a return on your investment because you will get out what you put in—and more!
